Hmmm, probably not. A mobile stylist may be cheaper than a salon but thats because they have less overheads to pay, however one of the main costs of being mobile is petrol.
Maybe if you booked a stylist to come to your house just to do a blowdry (apprx £10/15) and while they're there you could discuss some style changes for the next time. You should take a look through some hair magazines and have an idea of the style you might like.
You should definately ring around and see if anyone is willing to come round just to do a consult, you never know.
