How is the Best Way to Get This Hairstyle?

I have a bob and curly/ wavy hair that would work with this hairstyle. How is the best way to go about getting this hairstyle. I know that this is done with a hair piece in the picture, but I would like to do it with my normal hair.

use a curling wand, or tongs without using the clamp. just wrap the hair around it, in all directions. do only the bottom half of your hair. once you have finished and your hair has cooled, separate the hair horizontally, backcombing under the top half. the tousle the curls with your fingers, backcombing lightly here and there before a light spraying of hairspray. if you prefer the really wild look, muss it up with gel, i recommend garnier nutrisse surf hair
