Suggestion:
I think it will look great! The only thing I would worry about is because your hair is so dark now it may be difficult to lighten to that degree in one sitting without horribly damaging your hair. I had medium brown hair with some highlights and recently dyed it to be like Nicole Richie's on the cover of her book (pretty heavily highlighted but not totally blonde). The results were great but it took 2 salon trips and some deep consditioning on my part. Typically the stylist needs to highlight and apply a lightening base color inbetween the highlights or over top once the bleach is rinsed out to generate the all over color. You hair may pull red (which means it will lighten more golden instead of very blonde) but this can be fixed by putting on a toner. Make sure you condition the heck out of it because bleach (on top of heat styling) really damages the hair cuticle!
