Should I Put Black Highlights in My Honey Clolured Blondish Hair?

So i really want to put black highlights in my hair.. My hair is a honey-ish brownish colour with waves. I asked my hairdresser and she said that the black would be too harsh and sharp but i still really want 'em!! So do you think i'd suit it? I know hairdressers are supposed to be right but i want another opinion… Im a 16 yr old girl with grenish brown eyes if that helps x]

I am a hairdresser, & I agree with your hairdresser. However if you still want it, have her do it. I would suggest buying temporary extensions (@ sally beauty they can be affordable ) first, this way its not permanent, bc in the event that you color it & don't like it, you're stuck bc black does NOT come out, even when using a demi permanent color. When I was 17 I really wanted a blonde bang, and my hair was a dark red & all hairdressers told me it wouldn't work for various reasons, but I finally just had someone do it & I loved it, im now 24 and I still have the blonde bang
