Will a Body Wave Do This for Long Thick Hair?

my hair is really thick, straight and long(goes to the bottom of my rib cage) and wont hold any sort of curl. i have tried evrything and my hair just wont hold. will a body wave make it wher i can jump outta the shower and ley it air dry and it will be wavy. maybe with some product too? im desperate! thanks!

Suggestion:

Dont get a body wave. a body wave is just a perm and NO the curls will not look pretty like those they will be much tighter even with bigger rollers. Your hair probably isnt curling because you have build up from bad shampoo and conditioner. The shampoo and conditioner from drug stores & target, walmart, ect coats the hair strand in wax making it hard for color and products to penitrate the cuticle. So if you use another shampoo & conditioner and also get a malibu treatment to rid that build up your hair should be able to get those beachy, pretty waves, with just a little product and slight towel drying.
