If the shoes that you wear to your office are open toed or back less, then you should ensure that your feet and toenails are cleaned and properly maintained.

There is a common misconception that a woman can advance her career by wearing revealing dresses or skirts. However, true professionals know this is a myth. These types of garments may attract attention, but it is not the kind that you desire. If you are wearing a dress that is made of summer weight materials, such as silk, cotton, or cotton blends, then you should carefully layer fabrics. This allows you to avoid showing unseemly undergarments through your dress, and it also allows you to stay warm indoors. The temperature difference between the great outdoors and an air conditioned office can vary by 20 degrees or more. Even if you can bend this general rule, it is preferable to keep a neutral colored blazer in your office in case a high level executive was to drop by. A general rule to judge the dresses you wear to the office is: “If you think it is inappropriate, it probably is.”
