Hair Loss Clinics – What You Need to Know About Guys Who Sell Snake Oil

If you look back through history hair loss has always been a factor in human nature and a subject of embarrassment for many people. Having a full head of hair was always how the strongest and bravest men were shown in sculptures or paintings. It wasn’t likely that you were going to see a bald hero leading a Greek or Roman army. As a matter of fact the Greeks and Romans used wigs a lot – especially the men. Men without hair weren’t seen as being very noble or royal so in an attempt to cover this up they used wigs. So the first attempts at curing baldness really started a few thousands years ago…and they’re still around today.

When most guys realize they’re losing their hair, at whatever age, usually the first place they turn to is the search engines (well it used to be the phonebook) looking for a solution to their problem. They see some clinics selling products they claim can cure their thinning hair. Before you know it your credit card is out of your wallet and you’re processing an online order for a promised miracle cure.

But here’s the big question to ask yourself. If these clinics are selling a cure for baldness….why are there any people left walking around with hair loss problems? Believe me folks I’ve tried lotions and potions from all over the world that were sold as being able to cure, halt and even reverse male pattern baldness. Guess what? They didn’t work!

There isn’t a lot of regulation around the hair loss treatment industry or the clinics that sell the products. The situation is better than it used to be but there’s still a lot of con men out there. What makes it worse for you is that the new wave of “alternative therapies” sweeping the shelves isn’t helping. Now you have a situation where people can mix some alcohol, a few drops of scented oil and one or two herb extracts and sell it as something that can prevent or even cure hair loss. Worse again is that some people will react to these treatment (the placebo effect) and then the product can start being noticed as a legitimate treatment.

A standard trick is to say that their treatment works in 85% of people with hair problems. Then when you complain that it didn’t work for you you’ll get the standard response of “Oh we’re really sorry…you’re in the unlucky 15% of people it won’t work on.” Yes they do really say that and their asses are covered legally by doing it.

If any one of these clinics had invented a potion or lotion that cured baldness don’t you think those guys would be richer than Microsoft and Google combined? They wouldn’t need to put adverts in the backs of magazines or online would they?

Don’t get parted from your hard earned dollars too quickly folks. Do your research, get your facts straight and then (maybe) make the purchase. There are legitimate clinics out there – they’re just few and far between is all.
