Short Guide to Choosing a School or College Bag

Now that we are further into September, the majority of schools and colleges have resumed work for another year. You may have had in your mind that you had bought everything needed for the start back to school, but were all the things you bought the right ones?

Are your kids returning home and moaning that their bags aren’t as good as their friends, or maybe that they just don’t suite the requirements. When you have to buy a new school or college bag, it’s not easy, you simply can’t buy streetwear. Not only do you have to think about whether the bag is in fashion, you also have to consider what your child will think of it.

When it comes to choosing a bag for a school child, either first year or returning, the amount of stress involved is reduced. This is because for school children, a proper backpack is really required, with amount of books, equipment, plus their lunch that they take with them, a good sized backpack is required. The only thing that could cause problems for you is whether your child likes it.

However, if you have to choose a bag for a college student, that’s where you’ll really have problems. What bag they will need is really based on which course, as this alters what they will need to take with them. If they are doing an IT based college course, not much is needed in the way of equipment. Whereas if you were doing maths, there may be several books and alot of equipment.

The main bag that many college students are wearing at the moment are the courier/messenger bags which can hold a good A4 folder plus some food around the gaps. Normally if you’re after one of these, Dunlop bags and Gola bags tend to be the most popular this year.

Although you may be forced to buy some things again, there are some things you can be thankful for. Generally because the kids have already started school, you should find some bargains because many shops will offer discounts on school clothing as they try and shift it for another year.
