Although I am not sure of a name for the specific hairstyle you are looking for I have seen reference to an "almost scene hairstyle" they may know based on that but I would be wary of just telling a stylist a name anyway because what you may think is a certain style they may not. My best suggestion is to find a good picture of the style you want and take it with you to show them what you want. If you are looking to keep the length but go layered most beauticians will agree that layers should be kept to the front to frame your face and avoid the layers in the back. here are a few good examples I found of a classy layered looks with side-swept bangs.

Tell your stylist exactly what you said in your question. That you want long layers. You can even tell her where you want them to start. Also include that you don't want your bangs any shorter. Often salons have books you can look through to show your stylist exactly what you want.. but I'm sure she'll understand from your description.
It doesnt really have a name but im sure you can tell the stylist to do layers but not to touch ur bangs and to not cut too much.
