As the question says, I have round-face, I am asian, have black and also slightly wavy hair. And my hair is not that thick. I've never had bangs since I was in grade 1 so I don't know how it will look on me since i grew
Also, I had long layers which I loved since it made my hair looks that it has more volume.
I've read that side fringe looks good on people with round faces.
What kind of hairstyles will give an illusion that i have a thinner face..
PS. I am slim, not fat.. My face structure is just round

Lots of layers and side bangs (or hair parted to one side) are usually what people recommend!
Some people like blunt bangs or full bangs on round faces. I think some face shapes can pull it off, but on others it just makes your face look even rounder.
Which brings me to my next point… you really have to sit down and talk with your hair stylist.
I don't know if you have a regular salon you always go to, or if you're planning on switching stylists, but I've been looking for a new salon in my city because I could never communicate with my old hairstylist. I've been reading reviews about great places where it's not too crowded, and you can have a five- or ten-minute mini consultation with the hairstylist before the he even touches your hair.
I think that's great, because it shows that the hairstylist wants your haircut to turn out well, and will put aside time to make sure you're happy with the final result!
Also, I picked out a Japanese salon for my next haircut. It's perfect because I've always wanted cute Japanese-style hair, and if those kinds of cuts are not suited to my face, at least the hairstylist will know what to do with Asian hair!
Also bring a couple pictures or magazine clippings: even if those are rejected, your hairstylist can probably offer a hairstyle that's even better!
Lots of people won't trust their hairstylist's advice, but I don't think you should ignore them. If you go to a good salon, they'll know what they're doing!

OMG I'm asian and I have a round face too! When people see me they thinks I'm fat, but my body isn't fat!!
I have a side fringe and it looks great on me! People compliment me all the time. Go for the side fringe!!
