1) Is a short dress too informal or 'slutty' for prom?
2) I have dark brown long hair, green eyes, and I'm fairly tan. What color dress should I wear?
3) Should my hairstyle be based on my dress, or should I base my dress on my hairstyle?
4) Is 4 or 5 people too small of a group for a limo?
5) Are corsages and boutonnieres a 'must-have'?
6) I'm a sophomore going to a senior prom.. do you think I will get 'looks' from angry senior girls?
7) Dinner before or after prom?
9) Is it odd to get hair and makeup done professionally?
10) Pantyhose?
11) Should we go bowling after prom, or is that dumb?
12) Any cute suggestions on how I should ask my boyfriend to go with me? (we both already know we're going together, I just wanna be cute and.. spontaneous.)
13) Am I just a crazy control freak that's stressing because it's my first prom?..
1) yes. most schools i know if request at least below the knee.
2)a nice dark olive tone dress sounds like it would look really good on you or like a magenta.
3)base hair on dress as finding a dress will probably be harder than finding a hair style,
4)no. you wont need a huge limo then. find out the maximum amount of people that can be seated in the limo you want and try aim for just a few less so ever one isnt cramped in.
5)i do not know
6)maybe. girls can be jealous etc. dont let it ruin your night though
7)probably before as prom can go a bit late and i dont know if you have plans for an after party?
8)heels. not too high though. if you plan on taking a handbag try fit in a little pair of ballet flats in case you get sore feet
9) no not odd at all. just dont go over board with the make up. as them to accentuate your natural features and you will look beautiful.
10) not necessary if you have a long dress and can make you feet slide out of heels easily
11)not dumb. whatever you and your friends find fun
12)no lol not my field of expertise. i made my bf a sandwich and wrote a message with sauce and mustard lol.
13) no your fine to be nervous and excited and wanting everything to be right. preparation is key though and having everything ready will make it less stressful at the time.
hope this helped

1) It depends on where prom is going to be but a dress this length would be nice. Still semi casual yet dressy enough for prom. Plus its an unexpected type of dress style for prom. Girls either dress like hoochies or they wear over the top ball gowns.

2) I would say you go with jewel tones, a nice dark blue, maybe a magenta or nice purple. Try to stay away from pastel and electric colors.
Wear heels, but take some back-up flats. Buy some simple ones and add your own touch to them. I bought some brown flats for my niece and bought leopard ribbon and some rhinestones n glued them on with Krazy-glue(the one that works the best is the one that comes as a brush on glue, the bottle is purple. Bought it at Target for like $5) I customized them to go with her dress. Super cute
3) I'm personaly into the wavy hair styles right now, kind of like a Taylor Swift type of hair, but looser waves (not curls). But once u find a dress u like I'm sure the hair style will just come naturally.
4) That is kind of a small group.
5)its nice to have a corsage but if u don't want to do that I suggest u buy him cuff links(they have nice cheap ones at Things Remembered u can customize with his initials) or a really nice tie to wear with his suit/tux and he can buy u something u can wear that night, but make sure its something u can see in pictures (bracelet, earrings, ring, a brooch would be nice.) That way you both can wear those gift more than once. Flowers just die.
6)Who cares about what they think. Plus I doubt that they will notice that ur a sophomore, they'll be too busy dancing. So u enjoy yourself
7) After. For sure.
9) Not odd at all, BUT sometimes they do a crappy job especially if they have a lot of appointments for that day. If u can do either yourself then I recommend u do. Also with make-up they tend to take a heavy hand on it so u don't end up looking like yourself. Try a few things out yourself first.
10) depends on the dress n shoes and the 'look' that u are going for. But I don't think they're necessary.
11) That sounds good but I don't see the point in doing it that same night. Maybe if u make a weekend out of prom n get together the next day with ur friends n have lunch/nice dinner then go bowling.
12)Idk
13)yes u are, but its understandable. Just try to have fun with it and don't let it get under your skin. And one word of advice: be patient, especially with your boyfriend.
Good luck!
1. Know the temperature. You don't want to be too hot or too cold. Wearing a short dress and freezing the whole time is not worth it.
2. White, grey or black with blue or green accessories.
3. Wear it up.
4. no.
5 yes
6 it depends on the school and you should already know how they react to people in different grades.
7. Before, but remember to plan it out so you take a bathroom break before the prom.
8. flats. Never wear high heels.
9. No, but be warned that actors and models during a shoot have to be retouched every 15 minutes to still look professional. By the end of the night without constant retouching nobody could tell that somebody else did it.
10 no.
11. don't
12. I have no idea.
13. yes. It depends on the school. My school was so not into the 'dances," that the "dances" were often merged with "dances" from other schools so that enough people would be there and they just broke into groups and chatted like they did at school, but dressed up like a grown up tea party.
