Should I Trim My Hair?

My last hair cut I got maybe September 20. Now I want to have medium long hair but not long like a girls like some guys have. I want some what like a cleaner version of this

how/where on my head would I ask to trim my hair in order to achieve a look similar to this?

Suggestion:

Usually if you give the picture to your hair stylist they can cut it the way you want, but either way getting your hair trimmed is good for your hair because it takes off any split ends or damaged hair. I'm sure that if you tell your stylist what you want you will be able to get the hairstyle you want.
