Can Hairstylists Know Which Hairstyle Would Suit Us from a Glance?

I'm thinking of having my hairstyle chosen by a hairstylist, but I'm not sure if they'll choose a good one. I remember the first one I went to, gave me a bowl cut, which I hated. The next time I went to, I let him choose which hairstyle just like the previous one, I'm not sure about the name- but I've gotten a lot of compliments from it (from both genders). I want to change it up, but I want to look attractive/hot/sexy/whatever to a womens eyes (I am a male).

So, the question is: Can hairstylists know which hairstyle would suit us from a glance?
If they can't, how do I decide which hairstyle would look good on me? I want to decide myself if the hairstylist won't choose a good one.

P.S If only some can do it, does anyone know any good hairstylist around Mulgrave/Springvale/Dandenong in Victoria, Australia? Thanks! And I know I'm speaking formally, well, typing, but my last question was removed for its casual style… according to Yahoo! Answers. I'm a 13 year old boy.

it really depends if you trust your hairstylist..the good hairstylists can def. tell what would suit your face and give you feedback on what they think would look good on you…so i would gather pics you like with haircuts you think would suit you best..then bring them to a good hairstylist and see what they think..=D
