Suggestion:
There is no name for a long guy's style like that like there is for standard guy's styles like a crew cut or ivy league. Most people would refer to it as really long hair or long hippy hair. I can't say if he does anything because I don't know if his hair is naturally wavy. If that is how his hair naturally is then he probably doesn't put anything in it. To get a similar style take a photo to whoever cuts your hair to describe the style.
