What Are Some Good Hairstyles for My Hair Type?

I am African-American/ caucasian so I'm guessing you know my hair type. It is course and some parts have extremely tight curls, some parts are wavy, and some parts are nearly straight. I hate that. Do you know of any good hairstyles or products for me (besides straightening it)? Also, I'm going to an amusement park with water rides so I need a cute hairstyle that the water won't ruin if you have any. Please and thank you!
